The School was established in 1981 and provides classes for children of all ages and abilities in Ballet, Tap, Creative, Contemporary, Lyrical, Latin American and Musical Theatre. We aim to provide a safe, happy, friendly, caring and disciplined environment for all children to enjoy the benefit of the ARTS.
Your child is at the ‘heart’ of what we do and we are passionate about nurturing and taking an ‘Holistic’ approach in all our classes for your child’s development. We are qualified and professional teachers with 40 plus years teaching experience and provide high quality dance education. We want your child to thrive, develop confidence and gain a positive and resilient approach to learning through a growth mindset.
For students in High School we have a Teacher Assistant Programme which is an innovative, new Training Package and Award Scheme for those students who are keen to assist in Dance Class. It is designed to guide, help and support senior students generic skills such as leadership, organisation, planning and communication. The SADP awards are designed to recognise the student’s efforts and can be used on their CV’s and Personal statements with a Certificate and Medal given at each stage of their progression. Please contact us if you would like further information.
Our core values are Respect, Friendship and Commited to providing a solid technical foundation from those first tentative steps your child takes and throughout their dance journey.
To ensure the children receive the best possible teaching methods which are regularly being updated by the Teaching Profession, we attend the Annual International Dance Teachers Conference – held at The Royal Ballet School, London from 2011 until 2015 and from 2016 onwards, it is currently held at The Elmhurst Ballet School, Edgbaston, Birmingham which has a close association with the Birmingham Royal Ballet – where instruction is given in all genres of dance by world class faculty and where we gain our CPDs (Continuing Professional Development). This ensures that parents can be confident that our Dance knowledge and teaching skills are appropriate at every stage in a child’s development.
